It looks as if we will get to go up Monday morning at 10 am. A group of homeowners and insurance adjusters will be escorted in at the same time, which makes sense. We plan to take a lot of pictures.
In the meantime I have my spreadsheet set up for the personal property we had, as well as a system for organizing the documentation. We were warned that would be a lot of work, but now it’s broken down into small chunks.
Sounds like it’s moving along positively.
Our dry spell — and wildfire season — is at least temporarily abated. Three inches of rain in one 60 minute downpour yesterday afternoon and it’s raining again right now at 2 A.M.
Mike,
We could use some of your rain, but not that much at once. As I’ve mentioned, flash flooding is a real problem after the ground gets burned.
It feels good to have a system set up. Somehow it reminds me of a big puzzle, just putting a lot of information neatly away.
Glad your managing to stay positive through it.
My best wishes for a successful outcome of all the work that you are now doing.
yes….all the best!
Evan,
It helps to have homework to do while we’re waiting to get up there. I really like the system I set up to handle the information. It’s mostly visual, and easy to find things.
Rummuser and gaelikaa,
Thank you! 🙂
